Radiothon Is Here!

Dear Nick Reynolds

Thanks to the generous support of people like you Three D Radio has been broadcasting our eclectic mix of local, independent, progressive and alternative music since 1979.  Thanks to you, this year marks our 40th year!

As always, Three D’s sound remains organic. Our announcers free-range. We’re proud that Three D is more than just a Radio Station; we’re a community of music lovers who live and breathe South Australian and independent music! For 40 years we’ve been a pillar of South Australia’s live music scene, promoting diverse artists and music genres.  And we’re still entirely volunteer run.

It’s been a busy year! In the past year our broadcasters have ensured that local music made up 25.8% of all songs played, and 72 of the most played new releases in Three D Radio’s Top 100+1 chart were South Australian. More than 12,300 Australian artists were featured in our playlists, accounting for 46.2% of all music broadcast. We love local music.

Outside of our bricks ‘n’ mortar studio in St Peters, Three D Radio has been proactive in supporting our extended community . Through ‘outside broadcasts’ (O.B’s to us in the biz) we have shared and supported the good work of our Music-Minded Community-Cousins like Reclink Community Cup, GirlsRock!, Day of Clarity, Universalley and Scouted.

Thank you. Quite simply, we couldn’t have done it without you. It’s through our loyal and valued Subscriber support base that we are enabled to achieve this. This year we want to do even more. Our plans to further support SA music community are laid out in our soon-to-be-released Strategic Plan, and our Subscribers will be one of the first groups to hear about it.

So it’s that time of year again…

We’ll be cooking up a delicious lunch, drinks will be available for purchase, and we’ll be entertained by three fantastic local bands – Abbey Howlett; The Real Mac and Lucy the Band.
